بيان سياسي حول اختطاف المحامي علاء الدين عساف الخالد
يعرب حزب التحالف الوطني الديمقراطي السوري عن إدانته الشديدة واستهجانه البالغ لجريمة اختطاف زميلنا المحامي الأستاذ علاء الدين عساف الخالد، المنسق العام السابق للتحالف والمستشار السياسي الحالي، والتي وقعت بتاريخ الجمعة 02 كانون الثاني/يناير 2026 في بلدته تلحاصل بريف حلب الجنوبي.
إن ما تعرّض له الأستاذ علاء الدين يُشكّل عملية خطف واحتجاز تعسفي مكتملة الأركان، إذ جرى حرمانه من حريته دون مذكرة توقيف قانونية، ودون توجيه أي تهمة رسمية، وخارج أي سلطة قضائية مختصة، في انتهاك جسيم وصريح للحق في الحرية والأمان الشخصي، وتقويض مباشر لمبدأ سيادة القانون.
ويؤكد الحزب أن استهداف الأستاذ علاء، وهو محامٍ وناشط سياسي سلمي، لا يمكن فصله عن نشاطه المهني والسياسي المشروع، ويمثّل اعتداءً خطيرًا على استقلالية مهنة المحاماة، وعلى العمل السياسي والمدني السلمي، فضلًا عن تعريض حياته لخطر حقيقي ووشيك في ظل وضعه الصحي الحرج.
ويشير الحزب إلى أن الأستاذ علاء الدين عساف الخالد يبلغ من العمر ما يقارب السبعين عاماً ويُعدّ من كبار السن، الأمر الذي يضاعف المخاطر الجسيمة المترتبة على احتجازه التعسفي، ويجعل حرمانه من حريته ومن الرعاية الطبية اللازمة تهديدًا مباشرًا لحياته وسلامته الجسدية، بما يرقى إلى انتهاك الحق في الحياة والحق في الصحة.
وعليه، فإن حزب التحالف الوطني الديمقراطي السوري يحمّل الحكومة والجهات الأمنية المسيطرة كامل المسؤولية القانونية والسياسية والأخلاقية عن سلامة وحياة المحامي علاء الدين عساف الخالد، ويعتبر أن أي أذى يلحق به هو نتيجة مباشرة لهذا الاحتجاز غير المشروع.
ويطالب الحزب بما يلي:
1. الإفراج الفوري وغير المشروط عن المحامي علاء الدين عساف الخالد.
2. الكشف الفوري عن مكان احتجازه وضمان سلامته الجسدية والقانونية.
3. تأمين وصوله الفوري وغير المقيّد إلى الرعاية الطبية اللازمة والمتخصصة.
4. الوقف الفوري لممارسات الخطف والاعتقال خارج إطار القانون، ومحاسبة جميع المسؤولين عنها دون استثناء.
كما يوجّه الحزب نداءً عاجلًا إلى الأمم المتحدة، ولا سيما المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان، وفريق العمل المعني بالاحتجاز التعسفي، والمقررين الخاصين المعنيين باستقلال القضاة والمحامين والحق في الصحة، للتحرك الفوري واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للضغط من أجل الإفراج عن الأستاذ علاء الدين عساف الخالد، وضمان حمايته، ومساءلة الجهات المسؤولة عن هذا الانتهاك الجسيم.
إن الحزب يؤكد أن استمرار هذه الممارسات يشكّل انتهاكًا ممنهجًا للحقوق الأساسية، ويقوّض أي ادعاء ببناء دولة قانون أو احترام للشرعية، ويجدّد تمسّكه بالعمل السياسي السلمي وبالدفاع عن الحقوق والحريات العامة وفق المعايير الوطنية والدولية.

Political Statement on the Abduction of Lawyer Alaa Al-Din Assaf Al-Khaled
The Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party strongly condemns and denounces the abduction of our colleague, lawyer Mr. Alaa Al-Din Assaf Al-Khaled, former General Coordinator of the Alliance and current Political Advisor, which took place on Friday, 2 January 2026, in his hometown of Tal Hasel, southern countryside of Aleppo.
What Mr. Alaa Al-Din was subjected to constitutes a full-fledged abduction and arbitrary detention, as he was deprived of his liberty without a legal arrest warrant, without any formal charges, and outside the authority of any competent judicial body. This represents a grave and blatant violation of the right to liberty and personal security, and a direct undermining of the rule of law.
The Party affirms that targeting Mr. Alaa, a lawyer and a peaceful political activist, cannot be separated from his legitimate professional and political activities. It constitutes a serious assault on the independence of the legal profession and on peaceful political and civic activity, in addition to placing his life at real and imminent risk given his critical health condition.
The Party further notes that Mr. Alaa Al-Din Assaf Al-Khaled is nearly seventy years old and is considered an elderly person, which significantly aggravates the serious risks arising from his arbitrary detention and renders the denial of adequate and specialized medical care a direct threat to his life and physical integrity, amounting to violations of the right to life and the right to health.
Accordingly, the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party holds the government and the controlling security authorities fully responsible—legally, politically, and morally—for the safety and life of lawyer Alaa Al-Din Assaf Al-Khaled, and considers that any harm inflicted upon him will be the direct consequence of this unlawful detention.
The Party demands:
1. The immediate and unconditional release of lawyer Alaa Al-Din Assaf Al-Khaled.
2. The immediate disclosure of his place of detention and guarantees for his physical and legal safety.
3. Immediate and unrestricted access to necessary and specialized medical care.
4. The immediate cessation of abductions and arrests outside the framework of the law, and full accountability for all those responsible without exception.
The Party also issues an urgent appeal to the United Nations, in particular the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, and the Special Rapporteurs on the independence of judges and lawyers and on the right to health, to take immediate action to secure his release, ensure his protection, and hold the responsible parties accountable for this grave violation.
The Party stresses that the continuation of such practices constitutes systematic violations of fundamental rights, gravely undermines any claim to the rule of law or legitimacy, and reaffirms its commitment to peaceful political action and to the defense of public rights and freedoms in accordance with national and international standards.
